Twinings Tea

Twinings of London

Tea drinkers everywhere will rejoice when they discover this selection of Twinings Tea at World Wide Chocolate. One of the most famous tea brands in London is finally available anywhere, any time. Twinings Tea first began in 1706, when Thomas Twining bought Tom’s Coffee House on London’s Strand. Though coffee was the popular drink of the time, Twining’s coffee house became unique for its additional offering of tea. The upper classes flocked to his shop, and by 1717, the shop had evolved into London’s first exclusive tea shop. Today, tea has a special place in British culture due in large part to Twining’s vision.

Earl Grey Tea

Aromatic Black Tea Blend, Scented with a Citrus Bergamot Flavor

Legend has it that the ancestor, the second Earl Grey, was presented with this exquisite recipe by an envoy on his return from China. He liked it so much he asked Richard Twining to recreate it for him. Generations of my family have enjoyed Earl Grey tea and today, they am proud to continue the tradition with the tea celebrated throughout the world known as Twining Earl Grey.

At Twinings, they take great care to ensure that the Earl Grey you drink today tastes as extraordinary as the one Richard Twining first created. Fresh, fragrant and flavoured with the distinctive notes of citrus and bergamot.

English Breakfast Tea

Twinings’ #1 Blend | A Traditional Blend of Black Teas Creating a Satisfying, Rich Taste

English Breakfast is Twinings’ most popular tea. To create this well-balanced blend, we carefully select the finest teas from five different regions, each with its own unique characteristics.

Tea from Kenya and Malawi provides the briskness and coppery-red colour while Assam gives full-body and flavour. The robustness from these regions is complemented by the softer and more subtle teas from China and Indonesia. The combination of these varieties yields a complex, full-bodied, lively cup of tea that is perfect any time of day.

Irish Breakfast Tea

Full-Bodied Black Tea Blend with a Rich Flavor & Aroma

Twinings Irish Breakfast tea pays tribute to the Irish, who are well-known for their love of strong teas. This blend combines teas carefully selected from four distinct regions to give it added body, flavour and strength.

The bold taste originates from teas grown in the tropical climate of Assam and the rich, amber color from teas grown in the fertile terra rossa soil of Kenya. The hardiness from these regions is complemented by the softer and more subtle teas from Indonesia and China to yield a full-bodied tea with a smooth finish.

Jasmine Green Tea

A Very Fine Tea Delicately Scented with Jasmine Petals

Twinnings Jasmine Green Tea is a winning mixture of loose green tea layered with fresh-picked jasmine blossoms. The result is a refreshingly mild green tea with a pleasing, delicate aroma. Packed in a reusable tin, this tea can be enjoyed hot or cold.

Lady Grey Tea

Aromatic Black Tea Blend infused with Orange, Lemon & Citrus Finishes

This aromatic blend starts with the teas carefully selected from distinct regions, each with their own unique characteristics. This light, mild taste originates from teas grown in the humid, subtropical climates of China and Central Africa, while low-grown teas from India provide its bright amber colour. Orange peel, lemon peel and other citrus fruit flavours are then added to yield a fresh, uplifting tea that just may become one of your new favourites.

Ceylon Orange Pekoe Tea

Bright & Amber-Colored Pure Ceylan Black Tea

Despite its name, this tea does not contain orange flavour. ‘Orange Pekoe’ is a term used to grade the size and quality of dried black tea leaves. ‘Ceylon’ is the previous name of the country from where it is grown, now Sri Lanka, a small island in the Indian Ocean. Sri Lankan tea is unique because the country’s hot, sunny climate is perfectly balanced with the right amount of rain to yield teas with a wide range of flavour and colour.

Twinings’ blend is created by carefully selecting the finest teas from the high-altitude district of Dimbula, which give this tea its bright, golden colour and crisp, refreshing taste.

Pure Darjeeling Tea

A Delicate & Refined Black Tea from the Indian Himalayas

There are few places on earth as enchanting as Darjeeling, a small, but vibrant town in the Indian state of West Bengal. Located in the foothills of the Himalayan Mountains, the high elevation gardens and sloped terrain of this region produce distinctive teas that are harvested in three growing seasons called ?flushes.?

First Flush teas are harvested in March following the spring rains and have a fresh, lively taste. Second Flush teas are harvested in June and have a mellow, muscatel flavour. Autumn Flush teas are rich and smooth, but bolder in flavour. Twinings Darjeeling combines teas from the 1st and 2nd Flushes to yield a sophisticated tea with a woody aroma and slightly dry, delicate taste.

With more than 300 years in the tea business, Twinings Tea has become one of the go-to brands for high-quality, delicious tea no matter where you may be in the world. Their traditional flavors feel so much richer and more complex compared to the same ones made by other brands. From Twinings Irish breakfast to green tea to earl grey, all those classic teas you love are even better when you try this gourmet tea brand. At World Wide Chocolate, we’re excited to offer a full selection of these traditional and infused flavors, including unique options like Ceylon orange pekoe tea and chai spiced apple tea.

Treat yourself to an absolutely astonishing cup of tea by trying any of these Twinings Tea flavors from World Wide Chocolate. You’ll love that our competitive prices make it easy to stock up on a variety of different flavors or a bulk box of your favorite tea.
